Fill a jerrycan
Fill a clean jerrycan, bottle or small tank with tap water.
How to use
The dosage applies to tap water that you store in jerrycans or tanks, for example when travelling, camping or as a reserve.
0.67 ml
per 10 litres of drinking water
Approximately 13 drops, leaving it to act for 20 minutes. In numerical terms, this corresponds to adding around 0.2 mg of chlorine dioxide per litre of water.
At this dosage, the 100 ml bottle is sufficient for around 1,500 litres.
Fill a jerrycan
Fill a clean jerrycan, bottle or small tank with tap water.
Add the solution
0.67 ml per 10 litres – that’s about 13 drops from the pipette supplied. Refer to the dosage table for other quantities.
Seal and leave to stand
Seal the jerrycan, give it a quick swirl and leave it to work for 20 minutes, as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not apply another dose until at least 24 hours have passed.
Bottle and pipette
Reseal the bottle tightly straight away. Rinse the pipette and measuring cup under running water after use.
Use biocidal products with care. Always read the label and product information before use.

| 20 litres | 1.34 ml | approx. 27 |
| 25 litres | 1.7 ml | approx. 34 |
Calculated at 0.67 ml per 10 litres. The number of drops is an approximate value for the pipette supplied; the millilitre specification is the authoritative figure. Values are rounded.
Good to know
A disinfectant active ingredient familiar from drinking water treatment, provided here as a ready-to-use solution requiring no activation.
A gas dissolved in water
Chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) is a yellowish gas that dissolves readily in water. In the bottle, it is already dissolved in demineralised water. This explains its slightly yellowish colour and characteristic odour.
Familiar from water treatment
Waterworks have been using chlorine dioxide for decades to disinfect drinking water. In Germany, it is listed as a treatment substance and disinfection method under Section 20 of the Drinking Water Ordinance.
Ready-to-use solution instead of a two-component system
In two-component systems, chlorine dioxide is only produced by mixing sodium chlorite with an acid. In our solution, the chlorine dioxide is already fully dissolved, so no activation is required.
Areas of application
Biocidal products are classified by product type (PT). The product is registered with the Federal Office for Chemicals (BAuA) for product types (PT) 2, 3, 4 and 5. The information on the label applies to each application.
PT 5: Drinking water
Treatment of tap water in jerrycans, bottles and small tanks, for example while travelling, when camping or for storage.
PT 2: Surfaces in private households
Disinfection of surfaces and household items. Not for direct use on humans or animals.
PT 3: Veterinary hygiene
Disinfection of surfaces and objects in animal areas, for example cages and stable areas.
PT 4: Food sector
Disinfection of surfaces, containers and items that come into contact with food or animal feed. Not for direct treatment of food.
Safety
Use biocidal products with care. Always read the label and product information before use. A safety data sheet is available on request via our contact form.
Do not ingest
This solution is not intended for oral consumption or for use on humans. It is intended for the disinfection of water, surfaces and objects as specified on the label. The authorities expressly warn against the ingestion of chlorine dioxide products.
Storage and children
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light, in an upright position and tightly sealed in the original labelled bottle; keep refrigerated after opening. Use by the date printed on the label. Keep out of the reach of children.
First opening
Place the bottle in the fridge for about an hour before opening it for the first time. Open it slowly. Do not inhale any escaping gas.
First aid
If swallowed, rinse the mouth immediately; do not induce vomiting; contact the poison control centre or seek medical advice straight away, showing the label. After skin contact, wash with soap and water; after eye contact, rinse gently with water for a few minutes. Berlin Poison Control Centre: 030 19240; in the event of severe symptoms, call the emergency services on 112.

Manufacture
Manufactured in Germany.
Amber glass bottle
Protected from light, with pipette and measuring cup for dosing.
For drinking water disinfection: 0.67 ml per 10 litres of tap water, approximately 13 drops. For single litres, the quantity is too small to measure accurately. It is therefore best to treat at least 5 litres at a time. You can find the figures for 5 to 25 litres in the dosage table.
Use 1.34 ml, which is approximately 27 drops. Then, according to the manufacturer’s instructions, leave it to work for 20 minutes. Add the solution to the tap water, seal the jerrycan and give it a quick swirl. The millilitre amount is what counts; the number of drops is an approximate value for the pipette supplied.
According to the manufacturer’s instructions, 20 minutes. You should not dose again until at least 24 hours have passed.
At the dosage described here of 0.67 ml per 10 litres, it covers approximately 1,500 litres. The label states 750–6,000 litres; this range is due to different dosages.
No. The application described here applies to tap water of drinking water quality that you store in jerrycans or tanks, not to water from streams, rivers or lakes.
For a shock disinfection, the 100 ml bottle is sufficient for tanks up to 50 litres: 20 ml per 10 litres of water in the tank, leave to act for 6 to 12 hours, then empty completely and rinse. For larger tanks, such as those in motorhomes, CDL2go 250 ml is intended. You’ll also find step-by-step instructions there.
Upright, tightly sealed and kept as cool as possible – so not in direct sunlight or in a hot car. Heat causes chlorine dioxide to escape as a gas.
No. The chlorine dioxide is already fully dissolved; there is no need to mix it with a second component. To use it, dilute the solution with water as per the instructions.
ppm stands for parts per million. 2,990 ppm corresponds to 2.99 g of chlorine dioxide per litre of solution, i.e. around 0.3%. At a dosage of 0.67 ml per 10 litres, this works out at around 0.2 mg of chlorine dioxide per litre of water.
CDL stands for ‘Chlordioxidlösung’ (chlorine dioxide solution), and CDS stands for ‘Chlorine Dioxide Solution’. The abbreviations alone do not indicate concentration or suitability. CDL2go is a ready-to-use chlorine dioxide solution containing 2,990 ppm.
This is the dissolved chlorine dioxide itself; the colour and characteristic odour are normal. However, they do not allow for a reliable assessment of the active ingredient concentration or efficacy. You should therefore always store the bottle tightly sealed and in a cool place to prevent gas from escaping.
More chlorine dioxide remains dissolved in a chilled bottle. This means less gas escapes when it is opened. To do this, place the bottle in the fridge for about an hour.
Use by the date printed on the bottle, provided you store it as described on the label. Once opened, chlorine dioxide may escape as a gas, so always reseal the bottle immediately and store it in a cool place.
No. The solution is not intended for ingestion or for use on humans. It is neither a medicine nor a foodstuff.
Rinse your mouth immediately, do not induce vomiting, and contact the poison control centre or seek medical advice straight away, showing them the label. Berlin Poison Control Centre: 030 19240; in the event of severe symptoms, call the emergency services on 112.
